A Survey

So I'm on a kickball team this summer, composed mainly of girls and farries. Unfortunately, I am probably the most kickball-inclined person on the team. Which defensive position should i play to have the greatest impact on my team? Where will i be the most effective? thanks for your response

Depends on who you're playing I suppose. If there are a bunch of guys on the other team kicking bombs to the outfield, play deep so you can get the fly outs. If they're kicking infield grounders, stick with shortstop so you can grab the ball, touch second for the force and hope for the DP at first.

Make sure you take full advantage if the infield fly rule is not being called. A pop-up that is dropped on purpose is an easy double play.

hey brian, this league is serious; we have our own infield fly rule.
"If the defensive player stops making forward progress to let a ball drop into the infield, the infield fly rule will be called. The batsman will be called out and all other runners will be safe."

So if i think its gonna happen, i have to make it look like i got a bad jump and couldn't quite get there in time, even though i'm thinking dp the whole time

Can a person be called a batsman if there are no bats? Wouldn't he/she be a kicker? Or is this some new twist on kickball that involves bats?
