Not so sure i like this whole head to head mach ups anymore, I ran the numbers to see what the standings would be if we had regular roto scoring
Roto Points/Games Back
Autodraft : 60 /5 games back
Team Lincecum: 60 /10 games back
Renaldo Balkman: 54 /10.5 games back
TheBobbyCoxExperienc: 53 /Leader
harry&thehendersons: 52 /18 games back
Turd F: 44 /7.5 games back
The Computer I'm on right now is not capable of doing a regression analysis, but if I had to guess, it wouldn't be good.
I don't know if i can live in a league where actual statistics don't translate to actual wins, maybe Joe Morgan was right when he said you can't compare things with statistics

I am 100% OK with head to head scoring. Aside from the fact that I would be getting my ass kicked if it were roto, I think it adds to the realism of the game. It doesn't matter if the Yankees beat the Royals 12-0 or the Mets beat the Braves 2-1 in 12 innings. A win is still a win. And did I mention I would be getting my ass kicked if we were playing roto.
as the leader in both the head to head and the hypothetical roto league...i am still going to side with head-to-head. Just like brian said...you only have to be better than the guy you face that week, which puts a premium on matchups....especially since we go on the same rotation for the whole year....we know when we are gonna have a tough stretch or an easy one. or if you are jeff...a tough stretch. The only thing that i think could make it a lot more fun is if we could set it up so we can not only change lineups daily...but if the schedual would run just like a major league schedual. Have a 3 game series against Jwest, then another 3 game series with Josh, and then a tough 4 game series against Autodraft. I dont even know if this is possible...but could be lots of fun and take up way more of my time...which i know is what we are all looking for.
sorry aaron but your not the leader in the roto league, you would be in 4th place. and to be honest I do like head to head a lot better too because of the realism. but the thing about real baseball is there is a .90 correlation between Run Differation (Runs scored - Runs Allowed) and winning percentage where as in our league there is a .07 correlation between roto points and winning perecentage
You should do a regression analysis of our team's run differential as related to winning percentage. Runs scored by offensive players to runs allowed by pitchers. I'm willing to bet that is a stronger correlation than roto points.
Not bad math boy,.74
